This coming ski season the Arizona Snowbowl will become the first ski resort in the world to use 100 percent sewage effluent to make artificial snow. The resort plans to use 180 million gallons of treated sewage water bought from the city of Flagstaff to make the snow. The ski resort plans to build a pipeline to pump the treated water 15 miles from one of Flagstaff's wastewater treatment plants to the San Francisco Peaks, where it will be stored in a reservoir until it is needed.
