This is one of two new songs (the other one is the Smoke Song) for the new AMV series "The Rule Book of Kittery Embers". Visit radioghost.com for more info on that.

The Moon Song and the Smoke Song are both meant to be the campfire compositions of Kittery's father - songs that he sings to her.

Lyrics:

The Moon Song

Unbuckle the sun, slip on the old moonlight
A basket of stars, a blanket of velvet night

And I hope we come this way again
Cause Ill take the moon for my best friend
But Im inside out with sleep when she arrives

Unbottle the birds, sing in the sun's delight
In a garden of blue, carnation clouds take flight

And I hope we fly this way again
Cause Ill take the sun for my best friend
But Im inside out with life when he arrives

Up in the hills, let's you and me abide
The rocks and the dirt in a pine needle shirt come by
The hills are all horses, now everything can ride

And I hope we ride this way again
Cause Ill take you dear for my best friend
But youre inside out with song and so am I...
