My friend's Yellow Ackie Monitor Lizard is 9 months old now! In this video it's digging a burrow to reach the moisture under the dirt to help it shed. The Ackie's burrow acts as it's home in the wild, and they spend most of their time in them. You can see at the end of the video how they use their spiked tails to guard their burrows, leaving them at the end or near the end to whip at any predators that may come along in hopes of injuring them or scaring them off.
