The onsite Red Cross support for Operation Enduring Freedom that started 13 years ago has now come to a close. We began our in-country operations at Camp Stronghold Freedom, Uzbekistan on Christmas Day 2001 and eventually transitioned to Bagram A.B. and Kandahar A.B. Afghanistan. Between 2007 – 2014, approximately 91,000 military personnel passed through the doors of the Red Cross office at Bagram A.B. Over the last 13 years, the Red Cross conducted 115 deployments sending 100 staff in support of the men and women serving in the United States Armed Forces.
