Here's another V-Disc, this time with Kay Kyser and his gang performing "Limehouse Blues" and "The Girl I Left Behind Me". V-Discs were produced by the War Dept from 1943-1949 and shipped to U.S. troops all over the world, an attempt to bring a bit of home to wherever they were. They were usually played on hand crank wind up turntables and played at 78 rpm. Most of the V-Disc recordings were live feeds from radio broadcasts or recordings of live shows, and many were just recorded from commercial 78 rpm records. Enjoy!
