In the lobby the creator of the room can switch modes between singles, teams and knock-out any time. Players select their team by pressing a direction on the D-pad with their name highlighted or can also choose to spectate the battle. 


In Knock out it can be any combination of 6 players. (Have not tried 1v5 but probably works. Will update as soon as I get the chance to try it. If you are up for the challenge of being that 1 person please leave a comment! xD) 

Want to upload how this mode of team play works. Each Player fights another member of other team and the team with the most "tallies" from the matches wins over all. Requires Even number of players.

If your opponent Disconnects it counts as a loss for the team who lost the player.
Extra round occurs if both teams have the same win count.( For 2 v 2)
