(23 Oct 2018) Rome's Mayor Virginia Raggi said investigators will find out the cause of an escalator accident which injured 20 people on the city's metro system on Tuesday. Raggi added her thoughts were with the wounded, which includes Russian football fans in Rome for the Champion's League game between CSKA Moscow and Roma. The accident happened at the Repubblica metro stop near the main Termini train station. Raggi also thanked the city's emergency services for their "immediate" response to help the injured. Rome's firefighters chief Giampietro Boscaino has said seven people were seriously hurt, with a further 13 suffering minor injuries.
