Endless sand, shifting dunes, ancient Silk Road relics...The 337,000-square-km Taklamakan in northwest China's Xinjiang is known as a "desert of no return."  Swedish geographer and explorer Sven Anders Hedin tried to cross the Taklamakan along the 39 degrees north latitude line in 1895, but failed. Now a group of Chinese explorers have embarked on an ambitious expedition to cross the world's second largest shifting sand desert. Don't miss this video!
