Jazz singer Dianne Reeves was one of five performing arts luminaries presented with an honorary degree at Juilliard's 110th graduation ceremony on May 22, 2015. Her surprise performance of Hoagy Carmichael's "Skylark," accompanied by a student jazz ensemble, wowed the graduates, faculty, staff, and guests in attendance. Nicholas Hytner (who delivered the commencement address), Peter Sellars, Murray Perahia, and Suzanne Farrell also received honorary degrees at the ceremony.
