LIRR 7716, the Port Jefferson Branch local to Huntington, passes by a trio of old WWII era open end LI gondolas that are holding jointed rail. I am not sure where the rail is from, since the tracks on the line have been welded rail for quite some time. Either way, I like the cars, due to the fact that all builders boxes say they were built in 1945. 7716,which was blowing for Jackson Avenue, consists of 12 M7's.
