Being an artist and designer, Aagje is one of the people that adds potential waste to society. She wanted to break this vicious circle by looking at how nature treats its own waste problems.

Every week, a lot of bugs are thrown away in the Netherlands because they are considered to be waste. Aagje Hoekstra came up with a idea to do something useful with these bugs, turning them into bioplastic.
