Took my custom Tamiya DF-02 Rising Storm out for a spin on a cloudy and windy summer's sunday. Learned a few things that day as well: Like don't bring tall standing cones on a windy day? And maybe cheap on road tires aren't the most durable? Well, could have been a lot worse. The Tamiya DF-02 itself held up fine even though my run was cut a bit short.

The tires, I found out, are not factory glued as I first presumed. Instead they use a strange "spike/pin" design I've never seen before. Maybe not the cleverest and most durable design? These are Carson All Terrain 4WD Buggy tires/wheels, though I've seen other brands that sell exactly the same set.

You can find many more videos and much more information about my Tamiya DF-02 Rising Storm in my channel. It is a highly modded version, built with Tamiya and GPM Racing parts as well as LRP Electronics. Just for the fun of it.
