Railfanning the CBNS Railway in the Truro Area video 2 of 2 Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia Railway locomotives HLCX 7232 (ex BN EMD SD40-2), CBNS 3365 (EMD SD40-2), and QGRY 3327 (ex WC/GCFX EMD SD40-3) power CBNS manifest train 306 (Truro, NS to Stellarton, NS) accelerating eastbound at Murray Siding, NS shortly after departing from the Truro yard hauling 26 cars of mixed freight. These freight cars came in on the late CN 408 a few hours earlier. The Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia Railway is owned by Genesee & Wyoming and operated about 245 miles of track between Truro and Sydney, however only the portion between Truro and Point Tupper (near Port Hawkesbury, NS) remains active.
