Jeremie explains how the consensus model of European space policy leads to a more user-centric approach and uses the Galileo satellite network as an example of how space can help humans. Jérémie joined the European Commission in 2003, after an initial career at CNES, the French Space Agency and ESA, the European Space Agency. He has been involved since the beginning and for almost 20 years, in the European Satellite Navigation Programme "Galileo". This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
