Here's the list with my favorites first. There are reviews about most of these on my channel. ● Glidecam HD - Expensive with lots of build issues but flies really well. After a custom gimbal calibration I can get better extreme tilts with this. No need for oil change. My choice of stabilizer. ● Monocam CF Pro - No issues and flies great. Benefits from an oil change. ● Xcam Sabre CF - Has minor build issues but flies great. May a tiny bit slower to balance due to it's tiny size. Benefits from an oil change. ● Glidecam iGlide - Really usable for tiny cameras after my two hacks, and really cheap. Benefits from an oil change. ● Laing P-03 - Very nice. No build issues. Flies well. Benefits from an oil change. ● Wondlan - High quality but I've not used it enough to say conclusively. ● Wieldy - Good, but the Laing has improvements over this. Benefits from an oil change. ● Xcam I and II (not Sabre) - Super compact (will fit in most lens compartments) but not quite as good as the bigger and more expensive ones. Benefits from an oil change. ● Steadicam Merlin - Expensive and harder to balance and control. I might review this at some point. ● Flycam Nano, 5000, etc - Lots of faulty units, no fine adjustment knobs, you get what you pay for. ● S40 / S60 / Pergear / etc - Extremely cheap and you get what you pay for. Personally I'd rather stabilize my camera with a big block of cheese. lol ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Related videos: See the kind of things I shoot on these stabilizers: ● My showreel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjKEynzT0fQ (Only Glidecam shots) ● Glidecam HD-1000 with NEX-6 at a wedding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wNHq4xUE-E ● Balancing tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv296ivAfoY ● Glidecam Review: http://youtu.be/4AOofsWGmys ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Find me here: ● Join the facebook discussion group: http://on.fb.me/14JZybI ● Work and blog site: http://www.nitsan.co.uk ● Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/nitsan.simantov ● Twitter: https://twitter.com/Nitsan_s ● Google+: http://www.gplus.to/nitsans ● Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/nitsan_simantov ● Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/nitsanpictures ● My eBay items: http://bit.ly/NmFwPa ● Nitsan ProGear store: http://www.nitsanprogear.com ● Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/nitsan Ethics statement: http://www.nitsan.co.uk/ethics-statement (In short: I am an affiliate with eBay, Amazon, B&H and Adorama, which means I get a small commission when you buy through my links.
