Just airing out my thoughts on the debate of "rip-offs on the Internet". For as long as YouTube has existed, there has always been people trying to imitate their favorite creators to mild or no success, but then there are those who take their inspiration to create similar videos, but in new and interesting ways. It is analyzing where the line is drawn between "outright rip-off" and "being inspired by something". The examples used in this video are, of course, the Irate Gamer and JonTron showing how they adapted the Angry Video Game Nerd style/genre of video game reviews. I apply this to my own love of the genre and how I've experimented to push what is acceptable when it comes to borrowing certain ideas and concepts and applying your own ideas and/or personality to them as well as the likelihood of potential audiences having a negative reaction to it versus having a positive reaction to it. And before anyone says it, yes, there were smudges on my shirt I did not notice while filming.
