Reportage about a rescue exercise and the launching of a lifeboat by the Koninklijke Noord- en Zuid-Hollandsche Redding-Maatschappij (Royal North and South-Holland Rescue Society).
The film begins with shots of a rescue exercise on the beach, performed by a group of nurses and soldiers in the presence of a select audience. Next comes the launch of a rowing lifeboat by the Koninklijke Noord- en Zuid-Hollandsche Redding-Maatschappij (KNZHRM). Over the course of time, the rowing lifeboats of this organization (established in 1824) would gradually be replaced by motor lifeboats.

Reportage van een reddingsoefening en tewaterlating van een reddingsboot door de Koninklijke Noord- en Zuid-Hollandsche Redding-Maatschappij.
De film begint met de opnamen van een reddingsoefening op het strand door een groep zusters en militairen in aanwezigheid van een select publiek. Vervolgens komt tewaterlating van een roeireddingsboot door de Koninklijke Noord- en Zuid-Hollandsche Redding-Maatschappij (KNZHRM) in beeld. De roeireddingsboten van deze in 1824 opgerichte organisatie zouden in de loop van tijd geleidelijk vervangen worden door motorreddingsboten.
