The Royal Swans are a small flock of two varieties of swans, the Mute Swan and the Black Swan. The original six pairs were a gift to the City of Ottawa from Queen Elizabeth II in 1967, to commemorate the Canadian Centennial.

They are wintered indoors and released each spring into the Rideau River.
