Thomas Thorpe, 51 is facing life in jail for attempted murder, but what he most wants isn't a defense it's no black lawyers standing next to him.  Not being around blacks is more important than having a free lawyer!

Thomas Thorpe told a judge in Orange County Court. “I pleaded not guilty and I don’t want this negro standing next to me. I don’t want a negro standing next to me.”

The judge wants a mental evaluation performed on Thorpe to determine if he is legally insane.  Dear Judge, Thorpe isn't insane.  He's just a bigot.  There are a lot of them walking around or haven't you noticed?
