This etude is split into four themes, with each theme increasing in difficulty. Theme 1 is entirely fingerpicked and establishes the syncopated “rhythmic theme” heard throughout the piece. Theme 2 takes the fingerpicked pattern from Theme 1, but adds chords and a strum pattern to the mix. In Theme 3, you’ll learn a new syncopated strum pattern that incorporates a four finger strum roll (as taught in our lesson on “La Gitanita“ [Link Below]).
