July 19 - A Cape Town teenager is determined to help her community live a better life through education. Cherlene Thommasso travelled to the UN Youth Assembly in New York last week, where she heard Malala Yousafzai speak. Yousafzai was shot by the Taliban in Pakistan last year, while advocating for the right of women to be educated. Thommasso says she's been inspired by this experience to further her own education.
