This pack contains the reliable XTX 40 first and second stage as well as a matching XTX 40 Octopus.

The first stage is a balanced diaphragm design, providing a high level of performance and reliability at any depth or cylinder pressure.

The XTX 40 is an excellent cold water regulator with a fully sealed first stage to protect the internal parts from extremely cold water, helping to prevent free flows or other dangerous situations.

A great feature of the design is that the second stage housing allows the hose to be swapped to a left hand feed by any qualified Apeks technician which is ideal if you need to route your regulator over your left shoulder for a twinset for example.

A venturi switch is provided to control the flow of air inside the second stage. The minus position provides protection against free flows and helps to close the valve by forcing the diaphragm out. The positive position provides the best possible flow of air directly through the mouth piece.
