The most basic and necessary elements of spiritual (prayer) and physical (water) sustenance are denied Jews on the Temple Mount. Why? Because it offends Muslims? Why?

On Sunday, March 6, 2016, an individual from a group of Jewish worshipers on the Temple Mount approached a public water fountain, intending to have a drink of water. The police officer who was escorting the Jews quickly positioned himself between the water faucets and the Jewish worshiper, physically not allowing him to drink from the faucet.

This is not a new phenomenon. on the Temple Mount. For years the Israel police have been enforcing anti-Jewish apartheid rules on behalf of the government of Jordan, which, via the Muslim Waqf, effectively controls the Temple Mount.

As vile and undemocratic and racist as this policy is, the Israel police have always justified their enforcement of anti-Jewish discrimination on the Mount, saying that Jewish prayer or any outward sign of Jewish identity on the Temple Mount offends Muslims, and for the sake of keeping the peace, the police must enforce discrimination against Jews.

Does Jews drinking water on the Temple Mount constitute an "offensive" expression of Jewish identity? Apparently so, as in the recent past, when the police allowed large crowds of hostile Muslims to follow the Jewish worshipers on the Temple Mount, the Muslims violently prevented the Jews from using the public drinking fountains.

In recent months the police have not allowed Muslims to follow and harass Jewish worshipers on the Mount. On Sunday, when the incident captured in the video occurred, there was not a Muslim in sight, with the exception of the Waqf 'guards' who still follow the Jews. If there were no Muslims present who could possibly have been "offended" by Jews drinking water, why did the policemen so zealously keep the thirsty Jewish worshiper from the public water tap?

On whose behalf and for whose benefit are the police preventing Jews from using a public water fountain? Why does the government of Israel instruct the police to not allow Jews, under any circumstances, to drink water on the Temple Mount?

The most basic and necessary elements of spiritual (prayer) and physical (water) sustenance are denied Jews on the Temple Mount. Why? Because it offends Muslims? Why?
