Qualifying: We had a very close call to getting out on time as we were just finishing up the alignment with Andrew Lamont when cars were getting let out onto the track!! I managed to get a good bit of space during quali, really was a new car with my ALM set up so took a bit of hunting for the limit. I don't think I actually got there in the end but I managed to set a time 1000th of a second slower than 2nd place, to start 3rd on the grid. Pretty annoying considering I had my window fully open in the rush and that would almost definitely have saved me that 1000th..!

Onto Race 1: I got a blinder of a start! Jim Deans also got a great start which saw us both get past the ST of Russell Morgan down Duffus. Russell with the extra power got my us both into the hairpin which allowed me to concentrate on Jim. We were literally glued to eachother the whole race, I was pushing him through the chicane at one point (7:00). He cut me off when I had a wheel on him coming up the the chicane at 8:00 which I backed out of to avoid contact which annoyed me but wasn't the end of the world. I got along side him from a switch back at the hairpin at 8:40, but couldn't hear the engine as I was so close to Jim, and upshifted FAR too early, which let him pull away from me. Then from 9:30 the car started to overheat badly as you can me switching the fan on! So instead of pushing it for no reason I backed off to hopefully save the engine! Still didn't stop me trying too hard to conpensate lack of straight line speed with corner speed, taking its toll with a full speed trip through the chicane at 11:25..! Still kept the foot in though and even attempted to grab another gear haha!

I finished 1st in newcomers (with 5 entrants) and 3rd overall.
