It is monumental dress, measuring over 16 metres / 52 feet in diameter, made of 76 national flags from countries where homosexuality is punishable by law, including 12 countries where homosexual acts can result in the death penalty. That's the Amsterdam Rainbow Dress which is aimed at raising attention to the issue of illegal homosexuality. This year the dress has come to South Africa and was worn by trans activist, publicist, blogger and events manager Yaya Mavundla. Mavundla joins us to tell us more about the project which will also include a discussion program on LGBTI + rights at the University of Pretoria. For more news, visit: sabcnews.com
