Elda Bivas Gambash had been searching for the descendants of a man named Shimon Luria for over thirty years. Shimon had given her grandfather a matchbox that he held so close throughout his life. Shimon also saved her grandfather's life during WWI by giving him food during his captivity. Thanks to MyHeritage, the Gambash family was finally able to pay tribute and to thank the generous soldier’s family.
