Let's take a look into what's growing on in my little indoor pepper garden shall we? For the most part the pepper plants still seem fairly happy in their new environment and those last few peppers that have been able to ripen on the plants have been worth every tiny scrap of effort so far. Not that there's been much of that anyway. I do need to repot them into better soil for several different reasons, there's already quite a few leaves with discoloration. The biggest issue right now however would be these little white bugs that seem to have moved in almost overnight. They take over the undersides of those leaves and I'm finding them on most of my pepper plants. I think those are aphids, but I'm not sure. Does a praying mantis eat aphids? For now these plants are facing a serious pruning and a spray with some mild soap in water. I've heard that should kill these critters off quickly. Will I need to wash that off later so that the leaves can breathe properly? Oh well, with all the new growth on these plants a pruning will help me give them better shape for next season anyway ... In other news, the community garden seedlings are coming along well and some of my peppers have started to sprout. Perhaps not as many as I would like but still any at all is good. I'm not complaining. Also, Chox & I have decided to get a postal box for the channels. Many of our wonderful viewers have offered to send us various things along our adventure, there was a kilt offered once, and it seems like a good idea these days.
