PLANET OF HYPOCRITES Hypocrite! One who wear masks to conceal his or her true identity. Are we all hypocrites in one way or another? Is this by choice or simply because we have no idea who we really are? It was written, the world’s a stage; and each must play a part. The two areas where this hypocrisy is most blatant yet most hidden are religion and politics. Popes and potentates may seem like the ones in charge; but that’s the symptom of the scam – the mask. I have worn the mask of one who has answers. I still think there is only one answer. It may sound simplistic; but it’s certainly not easy. It’s hard for me to love those who stole my home. It’s almost impossible to feel empathy for those in abusive roles acting as leaders of some sort. They may proclaim freedom; but they do not mean that the same way most of us would. They want sovereignty for themselves, but not for everyone else. It’s a sick world we live in; and until all of us can admit the problem, it is unlikely that we will ever come to a rational solution. Ignorance of Self, of our interconnected nature, prevents solutions. I ask myself the question I wish we would each ask ourselves: am I a separate entity or merely part of a greater whole? Our answer may well determine the outcome of the human experiment.
