Over 280 athletes and players took part in day one of the National Special Olympics games held at Kasarani stadium on Tuesday. In the unified basketball category, Nairobi region dominated to finish first as eastern region came in second, while rift valley and coast regions finished third and fourth respectively. The games will get into its second and final day on Wednesday as the national team that will represent the country in next year's international Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi will be selected.
