Two people were fatally shot early Thursday in Shady Side, Anne Arundel County police said. It began late Wednesday night when residents reported seeing a car stuck in a ditch, and then shortly after, they heard people arguing near Scott Town and Nick roads. Then, residents said they heard gunshots and officers responded to the area at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
