"It was in 1950s that the first technicolour film, Aan was released. This film was produced by Mehboob Khan who apparently had Nargis in mind for the lead role opposite Dilip Kumar. She couldn't give him the appropriate dates so he introduced a new face, bold and beautiful Nadira. Nadira went on to become an overnight star after the release of the film.
