Grant Prokop of Thousand Lakes Sporting Goods demonstrates how to adjust the gain setting on Humminbird's ICE HELIX 7 to get the desired signal return on different sized lures or when searching for fish. Grant prefers a small signal on lures to get the best target separation possible between the lure and fish. This has the added benefit of eliminating clutter in the water column. When searching for fish, Grant increases the gain to identify fish at greater distances and depths.
