Longford Swing bridge is the only working swing bridge in the Southern hemisphere,
Located just out of the Gippsland town of Sale, on the old South Gippsland highway now known as Swing bridge drive as the South Gippsland highway bypasses the Bridge, the Swing bridge is opened for tourists and boats on Saturday and Sunday at 3:30pm and closed at 4pm, also open and closed at the same times every Second Wednesday. After the bypass was built the swing bridge had a $1,000,000.00 spent on restoration work.  
In this video the bridge is open and closed and the footage is in Timelapse as it takes 10 to 15 minutes for the bridge to move from open to closed positions.
In the old times the bridge would of been open and closed with hand cranks on both sides of the gearing mechanisms, today there is two hydraulic Motor drives.
