Page 1: ObservationsBeing a member of the Order of Judges of the Imperial Archadian Ministry of Law, and Judge Magister of the 9th Bureau.
The 9th Bureau, led by Gabranth, is primarily concerned with the gathering and dissemination of information. As a result, many of the bureau's activities are shrouded in secrecy.
Gabranth, and his power, are respected by other Judge Magisters, and Emperor Gramis himself places great faith in this younger Judge.
Battle During the first battle, if Basch is in the active party, a cutscene will play during the battle. Basch is the main target for the fight since Gabranth, so make sure Basch is well-protected. Gabranth is more into using all out sword attacks like Guilt, which can really injure the party. Gabranth lacks a single deadly move, but watch out for deadly combo attacks, since Judges are known to inflict heavy damage to single targets. Use Protectga to defend the party, Haste also helps. Use Curaja and Cura to heal when needed. Gabranth's attacks are strong but they're simply physicals, so as long as you heal when needed you'll be fine.
The second battle is the real deal, the reason why is that Gabranth will use Innocence. Always start by dispelling Gabranth's Haste and Protect, then attack. As the party leader you should be the one to heal the party with Curaja. At 50% HP, a cutscene between Gabranth and Basch will begin. After the scene, Dispel Gabranth again and get ready to use Curaja because right after Gabranth casts Renew, he will use Innocence, a very powerful attack with an incredibly long range that takes off up to 1200 HP with each use. Heal and continue hitting Gabranth. When his HP reaches 25%, his defense becomes very high and he will constantly use Innocence. Also his attacks get faster and deadlier as his combos take away 1100 damage! So use a short Quickening chain to get Inferno and finish him off. After the battle, use Ethers to heal depleted MP.
