Jordi Renart -- Responsible for Partnerships and External Relations for the United Nations World Food Programme in East and Central Africa, Nairobi

Prior to that, he served as Programme Coordinator in the Office of WFP's Executive Director in Rome, advising the Executive Director on a range of portfolio issues including Food Markets, Trade, and Global Governance Institutions. Before joining the Office of the Executive Director, Jordi worked in the Policy and Strategy Division, helping draft WFP's 2008-2013 Strategic Plan. Prior to joining WFP in 2006, he held positions in a Paris-based wealth management firm and in the cabinet of the European Union Trade Commissioner in Brussels.

Jordi  holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Navarra in Spain and a Master in International Trade and Development from the Institut d'Études Politiques in Paris. He has a lifelong appetite for being at the cutting-edge of current events and a passion for culture, particularly literature and art. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian and Catalan.
