After my father had a lung removed after a bout with tuberculosis, he was given a set of harmonicas to help increase his lung power. He was an amazing player ever since his youth in rural eastern Poland in the 1930s. It was always a joy when he would play Paganini like runs on the mouth harp at parties. The tape he made of himself was an audition tape of sorts, complete with station IDs, as he was a listener and fan of WFMU back when I had a radio show. Enjoy this tribute to a great dad and a wonderful musician, my pops. Pawel Olsiewicz (1922-2011)
