Anyways. Angst story time! I just like to hurt myself in the feels apparently. Gonna write a one-shot for this as well and probably kill my heart in the process. RIP me.

Storyline:

Johanna has always liked Katniss more then she hated her and irrevocably became infatuated with her during her Victory tour. When they got reaped into the Quarter Quell Katniss ends up becoming enraptured as well, not really able to deny the tension yet attraction. (Elevator scene anyone?) The two become allies from there, often meeting in secrecy during the time they are living in the capitol until the quell. President Snow ends up finding out about this little affair and with his sick twisted mind decides to put an end to it.

He ends up threatening Johanna, telling her that when this is all said and done (The Games) Katniss will be assassinated and the Mockingjay will be no more unless Johanna stops this. (liking her)  Johanna, not realizing how this would effect her, is mortified. Katniss has wormed her way into Johanna's heart, becoming yet again, something Snow could threaten her with. No longer not having anyone to love/care for.

Not wanting that to happen she finds the clincher. The hardest choice but the best choice. She would need to break things off and cause Katniss to hate her. Everything in her power went to this cause. She had to protect the girl on fire in any way possible so she lies and says the worst things she could think of - the ones that would cut the deepest. She told Katniss that it was all just a lie - a game to her, and that she irrevocable hated her and wanted nothing to do with her anymore.

Katniss doesn't understand what happened, what caused this change, and she gets sucker punched with the aftermath of the tragedy.

Wow. I'm great aren't I? Angstangstangst. Ugh, this video killed me to make, and the one-shot will be even worse to write about.
