Exeter Chiefs 9-12 Bath Rugby - Aviva Premiership Round 16. Olly Barkley's four penalties were enough for the win for Bath. Gareth Steenson kicked Exeter's points to give them a 9-6 lead at half time. Bath are in the top four after the dour win, while Exeter are in ninth, still just two points shy of Wasps. "The good thing is Bath did not get a try and the way they are playing at the moment, that is all credit to us. They are an outstanding attacking side, so for us to hold them out is a really good effort." Exeter hooker Neil Clark. "All in all it was a pretty tough day. They scrummed very well and their lineout functioned very well. We struggled to get any momentum into our attack because we would turn the ball over far too early in the phases. Having said that, we were down by three at half-time and we were very confident that we could come out and win." Bath director of rugby Steve Meehan.
