Stage 7 was a rifle and shotgun stage. You had to safely ground your rifle in one of the barrels before you could transition to your shotgun. In this video you will see my AR fail me. I had only one shot remaining on a target, but I gambled that my single shot on that target was an A zone hit which counts as a neutralized target so no penalties were incurred. I was right so I got no penalties. The failure I experienced was bad enough that I could not clear it quickly. Upon inspection of my rifle, it was decided I had a very old and worn out buffer spring. Since changing the buffer spring, I've experienced no more issues.

Stage Description:
Facing down range with heels on X's and loaded rifle at low ready and shotgun in grounding barrel. Ready condition for staged weapon is bolt forward, empty chamber, and loaded tube. Engage targets as they become visible from within faultlines. 22 rifle, 14 birdshot.
