45 gallon goldfish aquarium change over to tropical fish

I took the goldfish out of my aquarium and put them in my pond where they have been thriving for about two years now. Then I added a heater and changed the aquarium over to tropical fish. I am happy that the tropical fish are so much cleaner than goldfish and I no longer have an algae problem. Thanks for watching!
