In Photoshop Selection Tools part 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj07vv6L1z4) I introduced you to some of the selection options available in Photoshop and explained what they do. Now lets take a look at some ways you can use them.

There's no 'right' way with selection tools. Some way may be more efficient that others and some people will prefer a different way to the way I do it. With such a huge program as Photoshop we're all learning all the time.

In this video we'll take a look at using selection tools to convert part of an image into black and white and another in colour using the circular marquee tool in conjunction with freehand selection and feathering. It's sometimes called spot colour. Then I'll show you how the magic wand tool can be used on blocks of colour.

The magnetic lasso tool snaps to the edges of sections of an image that has edge contrast. best bet is to watch the selection tools (http://www.photographycourses.biz/photoshop_selection_tools.html) video and see what I'm on about.
