Dogs Deserve Better, Inc. a nonprofit located in Smithfield, Virginia, is transforming Vick's Bad Newz Kennels to the Good Newz Rehab Center for Chained and Penned Dogs. We are currently working solely from the house while we raise the capital needed to build our facility, yet to this date we've still managed to support 35 formerly chained or penned dogs, working with 14-17 dogs at a time. This is the story of Bandit and Raith, aka, the Basement Dogs. We hope it will touch you as it touches us, and we hope it spreads the word about the Good Newz Rehab Center. We are so, so very grateful to have a place to call our own, and although we are in the beginning phases, we are excited about our future here for the dogs. Thank you to all our donors who made this possible! Bandi and Raith thank you too. Please help us fund building the center, or as an interim step an additional 'dog bedroom' wing onto the current home so we can safely save more dogs. Thank you!
