The trial of the accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has begun with an admission from his lawyer that her client was involved in the terrorist attack which killed three people back in 2013. The defense team argues, however, that the now 21-year-old had been coerced into the bombings by his older brother, Tamerlan, who died in a police shoot-out just days after the bombings. The defense claims that Dzhokhar was a "follower", not a leader, and that he had been "influenced" by Tamerlan.
