It is astonishing how many entrepreneurs have a website and don't know that the purpose of a website is to convert website visitors into sales. If you do not have a measure for what your website needs to do, how can you measure the success of your small business website? The simple answer is that you can't? If you don't know what a website is for you will have no idea how to measure its success. Your business website should be a lead generation machine and should funnel people to your product and/or services and if your site is not doing this I strongly recommend you rethink the structure of your site.
