गंगा दशहरा देवी गंगा को समर्पित एक पर्व है | जिसे ज्येष्ठ माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की दशमी तिथि को मनाया जाता है, जो सामान्यतौर पर मई या जून के महीने में आता है. गंगा दशहरा को गंगावतारण् भी कहा जाता है जिसका अर्थ है 'गंगा का अवतार' | इस बार गंगा दशहरा मलमास माह में पड़ा है, इस कारण यह
बहुत ही लाभप्रद है, इस दिन गंगा में स्नान करने का विशेष महत्व भी है | दशहरा के दिन काशी दशाश्वमेध घाट या घर में दश (दस) प्रकार स्नान करके, शिवलिंग का दस संख्या के गंध, पुष्प, धूप, दीप, नैवेद्य और फल आदि से पूजन करे और फिर 'ऊँ नमः शिवायै नारायण्यै दशहरायै गंगायै नमः' का जाप करें.
करके रात्रि को जागरण करें तो अनंत फल मिलता है |

Ganga Dussehra falls during Dashami Tithi of Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha and currently falls in month of May or June. Ganga Dussehra is also known as Gangavataran which means 'the descent of the Ganga.
