Is Ben Bernanke a mad chairman like a mad scientist is in its field?  Maybe, but that is not the argument.  How mad would it be to print out 100 billion sets of $100 trillion dollars and allocate one set to each human on this planet.  Buhaha, we are all equally on a financial level as far as dollars.  I guess those whom had the assets would get richer if they had gold, silver, or anything that has tangible value.  That was part of the point of this MAD video, is explaining how mad some of their policies really are and how in reality its all about the value of all particular resources we have.  An Ipod is a resource, however its has its values based on its physical uses, potential duration and the supply and demand curve that a free market could establish correct value on assets.  When you see anything with value you can ask two questions based on its projected worth and its value for usage.   It does not take a rocket scientist to know what the uses are of apples and oranges.  Some assets have longer shelf lives.  Food and chemicals can work in short life spans at times.  You do not buy bread and throw it in attic for 2012 preperation?  Heck, its green the next month.  Silver and gold and many other assets of metals have shelf life.   You can hand silver down in many generations as it preserves its wealth.  With paper money, it maybe be able to hand hundreds of years based on how nice our bills are made.  That is to say the durability of the paper money itself may lost post 2200 and therefore it will stay an asset.  Time will tell if and when it becomes a collector souvenir of history.
