Among European Americans, those with blue eye color had around 80% higher risk for AD than those with dark eye color. This association was observed at three different levels: single gene, gene network and population levels. We addressed several potential confounders, including socio-economic factors such as income and education, detailed ancestry information and gene-selection bias. In my talk I will discuss the study findings, its implications, and potential biological relationships unveiled by this association.
