Just Mitch & I Writing for #theABYSS: "Sinking Deep" is a song from my NEW ALBUM #theABYSS (due out in October 2015) about how easy it is for worldly things to entice us out into the deep. At first, its cool cause we think we've got a handle on it. Then the drifting becomes sinking, and the struggle to get back to the shores of our firm foundation is an intense battle! The current is STRONG! It pulls us further...and deeper than we ever intended to go. However, a turn of events occur when you're lost out in the deep...just when you think you're sinking to the bottom; you realize your cries to get out of this dark place are heard and you're really in the depths of God's GRACE! Sinking deeper in His LOVE! Rescued from the void! As the word says in Psalm 139: "Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight? If I climb to the sky, you’re there If I go underground, you’re there! If I flew on morning’s wing to the far western horizon, You’d find me in a minute—you’re already there waiting!
