Here is footage from a November 3, 2018 job in Lititz, Pennsylvania where I moved a nest that was inside of a gourd meant to house nesting birds. This species in the eastern yellowjacket (Vespula maculifrons) and one of the most common yellowjacket species in my area. This species is the smallest of the yellowjackets. Despite being small, they are very aggressive in defense of their nest. The customer did not want this nest killed, but moved to another location so that they could finish out their colony cycle. The fact that I can relocate nests makes my business ultra-cool, separating me from the mere professional.
