Sparkster heads out of Zebulos to retrieve the rest of the magic swords. After defeating the pig-themed Devotindos Empire, the reptile-themed Gedol Empire took its place. So Sparkster also has that problem to deal with.

Princess Sherry of the first game, as well as her younger cousin, Princess Cherry, come with Sparkster to see him off on his journey. However, Axel Gear reappears and kidnappes Cherry!

Sherry has faith that Sparkster will find the rest of the seven swords, stop the Gedol Empire, and rescue Cherry. That's when the game really begins.

This game is a bit more dynamic and serious compared to RKA1. The graphics are smoother, and more badass music will be heard. Some of it has sounds and instruments that remind me of Castlevania: Bloodlines.

From that, I assume that Michihu Yamane was involved.

The way Sparkster is used in this game is different from the prequel. He can't unleash razor wind from his sword anymore, but he can grab a fire powerup that raises its power. His rocket pack also charges automatically instead of holding it manually. The first level of charge lets him fly away smoothly, and it can be used constantly to gain more alltitude. The 2nd, max charge, however, has enough power to turn Sparkster into a drill. He needs this to unscrew giant nails and other similar things.

At first, Sparkster travels through valleys, then journeys through a forest, finally, he gets on a train that's leading to the next Stage, but first he has to destroy the core at the front of it.

Through this stage, the opossum fights many lizards, avoid pink gunk from clogging his rocket pack, and taking down a vine spirit.
